Jieya Privacy Policy

1. Information we process

(1) Files you choose

• Archives, files, or folders you select in Jieya are used only for local extraction, preview, organization, or export on your device.
• Jieya does not upload the contents of your selected files to our own servers and does not scan files unrelated to your current action in the background.
• Extracted results and temporary files are typically stored in the app sandbox or in the output folder you choose. You can delete them at any time.

(2) Device permissions

• Files access: used only to read archives, files, or folders you explicitly choose and to write processed results to the location you select.
• If you import files through the system share sheet or file picker, Jieya only processes the items you explicitly selected for that action.

We do not access files, photos, or other personal content that are unrelated to your use of Jieya.

(3) Basic device information and necessary network requests

• When the iOS version needs to load Google AdMob interstitial ads, the app may make necessary network requests. Related services may process basic device information, request logs, approximate region information, ad request / impression / interaction data, and data needed for diagnostics, fraud prevention, and compliance.
• These flows do not upload the contents of archives, files, photos, or videos you select to us for ad delivery.

2. Advertising and third-party services

• The iOS version of Jieya may display a Google AdMob interstitial before you start compression or extraction.
• The iOS version integrates Google AdMob only.
• Google and its advertising partners may collect or process data required for ad delivery, frequency capping, measurement, diagnostics, fraud prevention, and compliance under their own privacy policies, such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate region, and ad impression or click data.
• We do not sell the contents of archives, files, photos, or videos you select to advertisers, and we do not upload those contents to advertising platforms for ad targeting.

2.1 macOS platform note

• The macOS version does not currently display ads and does not integrate the Google AdMob ad presentation flow used by the iOS version.
• As a result, the macOS version does not currently trigger the ad requests or ad presentation flows used by the iOS version.
• If the macOS version later adds ads, online features, or other capabilities that change how privacy-related data is handled, we will update this privacy policy accordingly.

3. Data storage and retention

• Extracted files, exported results, and temporary processing files are stored locally on your device.
• After a task completes or fails, Jieya attempts to clean up temporary files. Exported files remain under your control.
• We do not maintain remote file-processing data that is linked to you as an individual user.

4. Children’s privacy

Jieya is intended for a general audience and is not designed specifically for children under 13 years of age. If you are a minor, please use this app under the guidance and supervision of a parent or guardian.

5. Your choices and control

Because we do not store your files or account data on our own servers, you can manage your information by:

• Deleting extracted results you no longer need from Files or the output folders you selected;
• Revoking Files or other permissions in system settings;
• Uninstalling the app to remove local data stored in the app sandbox.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If there are material changes, we will highlight them in the app update notes and encourage you to review the latest version.
