CC Time Privacy Policy

1. Information handled on your device

CC Time uses audio and video that you explicitly select only to create, edit, and export captions on your device. Source media, caption drafts, exported subtitle files, and temporary processing files are not uploaded to CC Time-operated servers.

The app stores only local preferences and access permissions needed for its features, including language and appearance preferences, output-folder access, and the display-only count of captions successfully exported today. On iOS, Photos and Files access is used only for media you choose. On macOS, files are read or written only after you select them or grant output-folder access. CC Time does not scan your photo library, disk, or unrelated files.

2. No accounts, ads, analytics, or tracking

CC Time does not require an account, show ads, use advertising or analytics SDKs, or use cross-app tracking. We do not collect, sell, or share personal data for advertising or marketing.

The speech-recognition model is bundled with the app and caption recognition does not use a cloud transcription service. A manual macOS update check contacts Apple's update service only for that check. Choosing to rate the app opens Apple's App Store, and choosing Feedback opens your mail app. These actions are initiated by you and governed by the applicable service's policies.

3. Local storage and your choices

Your media remains where you selected it. Drafts, exports, and temporary files remain on your device or in your chosen output folder. You may delete drafts and exports, revoke Photos, Files, or folder access in system settings, clear available app data, or uninstall CC Time. Deleting a draft or export does not delete your original media unless you delete the original file yourself.

4. Children's privacy

CC Time is intended for a general audience and is not designed specifically for children under 13. Minors should use the app with a parent or guardian's consent and guidance.

5. Changes to this policy

If our data practices materially change, for example through accounts, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, or third-party AI processing, we will update this policy and applicable App Store privacy information before or when the change takes effect.
